Brown leaves Brusly High, accepts job at Livonia

Marc Brown recently resigned from the coaching staff at Brusly High School, but will reunite with a longtime colleague for his next post.

Brown will head to Livonia High School to work under former colleague Guy Mistretta, who took over the spot for the 3A school when David Brewerton accepted the head coaching spot at Zachary.


Westside All-Star team takes three championships

The 8-year-old Westside Black Allstar team has claimed three championships and will head to St. Charles next weekend to defend their title as state champions.

The team took the championships at the Tchefuncte River Shoot Out June 7-8 in Madisonville, the Father’s Day Class in Addis June 12-15, and the Cal Ripken District Tournament in Addis June 19-22.
