The Port Allen Pelicans took on the Baker Buffalos for homecoming Friday night and walked away with a 23-6 victory, snapping their 3-game losing streak.
Friday night the Brusly Panthers played another challenging game - this time against the Parkview Eagles - that ended in a 27-7 victory for the Eagles.
West Baton Rouge Parish’s most anticipated game of the season will go down this Friday when in-parish rivals Brusly and Port Allen meet on the football field at the Guy Otwell Memorial Stadium in Port Allen.
Port Allen’s Lady Pels beat one of their three opponents last week in volleyball.
“They gave it their best,” said Coach Wayne Conaway. “They played hard, they hung in there, and they didn’t quit. We just played better teams. They played to the end, and that’s all you can ask for.”
Monday, September 23, the Pelicans crushed Capitol, winning three of the four matches.
