Brusly students volunteer to help teach youth cheerleading

These days, the stereotypical answers to bored teenagers would most likely be video games, cell phones and television. But for five Brusly high and middle school students, the answer is vastly different - they volunteer.

This year with the inception of the Brusly Panthers Youth Football program, a program for girls, age 6-12, to support the football program as cheerleaders was also developed.

Plaquemine tops Brusly

After a solid win against St. John during their first regular season game, the Brusly Panthers came into Friday’s home opener against the 4A Plaquemine Green Devils with plenty of confidence -- unfortunately for the Panthers, it takes more than confidence to beat a team as tough as this year’s Green Devils team.
