Port Allen’s Marcus Keyes verbally commits to ULL

Port Allen Pelican Marcus Keyes gave himself the best 18th birthday present he could ask for when he verbally committed to play football for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette this past Monday.

Port Allen Head Coach Guy Blanchard said that he was notified Monday by Keyes that after a lot of praying with his family, Keyes called Ragin’ Cajun Head Coach Mark Hudspeth and confirmed his verbal commitment to play.

Brown leaves Brusly High, accepts job at Livonia

Marc Brown recently resigned from the coaching staff at Brusly High School, but will reunite with a longtime colleague for his next post.

Brown will head to Livonia High School to work under former colleague Guy Mistretta, who took over the spot for the 3A school when David Brewerton accepted the head coaching spot at Zachary.
