West Feliciana made a second-half comeback for a win against the Port Allen Lady Pelicans, but PAHS found perhaps a tougher adversary than the other team.

Missed opportunities at the free throw line once again hampered Port Allen, who squandered a three-point halftime lead in a 63-55 loss against WFHS.


Panthers leap into 3rd place in 7-3A

Two district wins at home last week moved the Brusly High boys basketball team (16-6, 4-2) into the top three of the District 7-3A basketball rankings. The two wins, coupled with Glen Oaks’ loss to Port Allen, hurdled the Panthers over Glen Oaks to claim the third place spot.

Quality continues to prevail over quantity for the Brusly wrestling program.

The Panthers reigned supreme over two of three schools in a four-team meet Saturday at De La Salle High School.

BHS topped John Curtis and South Plaquemines but fell to the host team at the event.
