BAINS – A district opener against rugged West Feliciana seemed enough to occupy the minds of Port Allen players and coaches last week.

But the Pelicans also had to contend with injuries and the suspension of five players who violated team policies.

Local volleyball teams Looking for answers

Frustrating times loom for both local volleyball teams.

Brusly breezed past Lee in the district opener earlier in the week, but hit a roadblock against Parkview Baptist.

The Panthers are 1-1 in district, something the Panthers don’t like at this point.

“Not at all,” head coach Karen Wooley. “We need to step on the court and be ready to play.”
