The seventh-seeded Brusly High softball team proved they had a fighting spirit last Thursday as they fought their way out of a 4-0 deficit to take a 9-6 win over No. 10 E.D. White in Class 3-A playoff action at My-U Field.

Pelicans finish first at Westside relays

It took a strong effort both on the track and on the field to win against eight other teams, and Port Allen aced that game plan April 17 at the Westside Relays.

The Pelicans racked 150 points to claim the championship in its home event at Guy Otwell Stadium.

Onward for the Lady Panthers

What do the Brusly High softball team and LSU Tigers baseball team have in common?  Both teams have found a “home away from home” in their respective championship tournament locations -- Frasch Park in Sulphur for the Lady Panthers and Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha for the Tigers.
