After two seasons of leading the Brusly High Lady Panthers basketball team, Coach Shaeeta Brown-Williams is heading to LSU.

Coach Sha, as she is known, took the Lady Panthers to the second round of the playoffs two years in a row in the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The 1993 Brusly High graduate was a star athlete on the basketball, track, and softball teams (she was a member of the 1991 state championship softball team). She was one of the most highly touted athletes in the high school’s history, receiving scholarship offers as early as eighth grade, and she was named The Advocate’s 1993 Athlete of the Year.

She went on to play basketball in college for Duke University, where she also served as an assistant coach for five years.

Coach Sha held basketball camps in Brusly for years and currently holds Coach Sha’s Boot camp daily at Brusly High School.

She will serve as an administrative assistant for the Lady Tigers basketball team.
