Locals finish strong at PHS track meet

Local teams played a prominent role Friday in the outcome of the annual Green Devil Relays at Plaquemine High School.

PAHS tied for first with Plaquemine with a total of 131 points, while Brusly placed fourth with 76. Baton Rouge High claimed third (95). White Castle (63), Donaldsonville (49), St. John (3) and East Iberville (2) rounded out competition.

The Brusly Panthers baseball program is currently on a roll. 

After winning 12 of their last 13 games, they sit at 13 wins and four losses and are set to open up district play this week.

Brusly sweeps home tourney

The Brusly Panthers softball team hosted the Brusly High School Softball Tournament at Alexander Park over the weekend and clearly showed those in attendance that there is something to a home field advantage as they went 4-0 on the weekend.
