“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
When we came to new life in Christ, Satan did not curl up his tail and pull in his fangs. He is committed to fouling up our lives through his deception.
His main goal is to “prove” that Christianity does not work, that God’s word isn’t true and that nothing really happens when you are born again. The new birth puts behind us the things of the world that hinder us from walking with the authority that comes with being a Child of the Most High God.
If Satan can’t destroy your concept of God, then he will seek to destroy your concept of who you are as a child of God.
He cannot do anything about your position in Christ, but if he can get YOU to believe that your relationship is faulty, then you will live as if this is true. As believers we must remember that Satan is not a little god, but a fallen angel.
We are equipped to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The word of God will always give us what we need to be able to defeat our enemies. We have to abide in Christ in order to be able to successful. Those who practice this will be able to stand even when their own strength is gone.
Remember who you are in Christ and the promises set forth in the Word of God to assure us of His favor and blessings.
Stay prayerful so that you can recognize the tricks and traps of Satan who can masquerade as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)
Prayer: Lord, I want to be so in tune with your Word that I can discern error and darkness even when it appears as truth and light. Amen.
