“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits” Psalm 103:1-2
There are times in our lives when we are faced with great adversities. There are challenges and obstacles that seem unsurmountable. But the Word of God continually reminds that these things are just not so.
However, in order to overcome we must realize who we are and to whom we belong. God did not invest in us to allow the world and situations and circumstances to continually break us down. God looks for so many ways to bless us even when it seems as though those times are few and far between.
Opportunities are plentiful to grumble and complain as the children of Israel did. We know better. Even in wilderness situations, God continually provides for us. We must always remember that His grace is sufficient.
There are things I have learned over many years of trials and tribulations
#1 God will never leave me
#2 There is no problem too hard for God
#3 There is a lesson in this situation
Think about it. Has there ever been a time even when the winds of adversity, when there seemed to be no way you were going to make it that you came out of trouble standing tall and smelling like a rose?
That’s because the lesson in the story is that the fight is fixed and the battle is not ours, it belongs to God. Yes we may have a few bumps and bruises a few cuts and scrapes, but look at us now… stronger, wiser and much better.
In order to get to the place where we can continually bless God in good times or bad times prayer and meditation on the Word play major parts in that success.
We must learn to lean and depend on God. Scripture reminds us if we continually acknowledge Him, He will direct our paths.
Today, open your mouth and verbally confess how good God has been to you.
Today, call that friend that you have been meaning to call for a very long time.
Today thank Him for every victory, trial and tribulation that the Spirit calls to your memory.
Today, verbally proclaim your love and adoration for Him.
Today no matter how you feel give him the glory, honor and praise that God alone deserves.
Today, share your testimony with someone as the Spirit leads. Bless the Lord, today.
