“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes
. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world” Ephesians 6:10-12
Being in ministry, we see people every day who are desperate and in all kinds of messes. People are tormented in their minds with unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, jealousy, lust, perversion, etc., and as a result, everything around them falls apart.
They are trying to fight a battle in the flesh that will never be won.
The Word of God says the struggle is not against people, “flesh and blood” but “against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
When you have prayed, searched your heart, done what your pastor taught you, obeyed the Holy Spirit, and have been patient, continue to stand and be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
The Bible says we need to take our stand against the schemes of the devil. How do we do that you might ask?
The Bible says to “put on the full armor of God” so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. The armor needed to be victorious in everyday life is not some Sunday school play suit we slip on when life gets tough.
It’s a mindset we always wear daily that can be found in the Word of God, a well laid or strategic battle plan for life’s challenges.
We need to stop lying around allowing circumstances and life’s troubles to rob us of our joy. Rise up in God’s power and the authority we have in Jesus and tell the enemy where to go!
It may not be easy and the devil may put up a fight for a season. But when it’s all said and done, he has to obey what the Word of God says!
Just “submit yourselves to God whole heartedly, resist the devil, and he will flee!” James 4:7
