Parish approves fire district pay scale

The West Baton Rouge Parish council unanimously approved a 2015 pay scale for the parish fire district.

Parish Fire Chief Kenny Hunts said the parish president signed a contract with Payroll Management Inc. (PMI) for assistance with the pay scale – “to make sure we cover all our bases,” he said.

P.A. disconnect notices being discontinued

The City of Port Allen will no longer mail disconnect notices to city water and natural gas customers who are delinquent in paying their bill. The change will be effective with the March 1, 2015 billing.

Bills are mailed to customers on the first of the month and are due by the 26th of the month. They are delinquent if not paid by the 26th.
