Police seized more than $1,500 and a custom Chevrolet Corvette from a Port Allen man after finding several packages of heroine in the vehicle and arresting the man on drug charges.
Jamie Whaley, Brusly Police Chief until April 25 when his resignation will be made official, stood before a judge Thursday and declared his wrongdoing.
Whaley pled guilty to a felony charge of malfeasance in office for using a Brusly fleet credit card to rack up $1,120 in fuel charges to fuel his personal vehicle and boat from January 2013-January 2014.
The West Baton Rouge School Board unanimously approved, Wednesday evening, a request that would see the demolition of several derelict, historical buildings in Port Allen.
