The West Baton Rouge Museum is exploring an old art form that takes a spin off our modern obsession with the self-portrait, or “selfie.”

The museum’s latest exhibition, “The Portrait, The Artist, and the Patron: 19th Century Portraiture in Louisiana,” takes a look back at how Louisianians viewed themselves two centuries ago.
