On August 30 singer/songwriter Jayce will hold a release party for her first original album “That Was Then” at Bayou Waterfront Park in her native Plaquemine. There will be music, food, and fun. The digital release will happen online the following day.
This album captures the dynamic collaboration of many talented musicians, artist, songwriters, singers, engineers, and producers. Jacye performs her original songs with her band. “music, food, and fun. “My grandmother inspired the soul of my music. She motivated me with her passionate love of music and the joy of seeing it touch people’s lives” said Jacye.
In 2015, Jacye teamed up with legendary saxophone player and founding member of the renowned Muscle Shoals Horns, Ronnie Eades. Eades has an extensive recording history and is heard on over 400 hit records from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. This music partnership led Jacye to her producer, Andreas Werner of Crazy Chester Records in Nashville. This ultimately resulted in the creation and recording of her first original album.
Jacye thanks her family for their love and support: Yancy, Jaye, Kristi, Brett, Isadore William, James “Buddy, Jr.”, Isadore and Lorraine, and her fiancée, Mindee. She’s also thankful to her musical family: Andreas Werner, her producer; Joe Funderburk and Jimmy Nutt, the engineers; Jamie Blair, photographer; Rachel Werner, artwork designer; musicians and background singers. She also thanks special friends Heidi Heindel, Ronnie Eades, and Torry Boudreaux; Band Wagon Fest Committee and the Go Fund Me Supporters.
