Marlene (Aucoin) Sanchez
Marlene Aucoin Sanchez, a native and lifelong resident of White Castle, LA, departed this life at 9:29 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Carpenter House at the age of 68. She retired from Dow Chemical in 2004 with 34 years of service. Visitation was at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in White Castle on Friday, August 3, 2018, from 8:30am until 11:00am followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Paul Yi and Deacon Tim Grimes. Entombment and burial at the church mausoleum. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, David J. Sanchez of White Castle and a son, Rhett D. Sanchez of Baton Rouge. She leaves behind her mother, Jazenette “Noonie” Aucoin and mother-in-law, Gloria Sanchez, both of White Castle; brothers Lee Roy J. Aucoin Jr. of White Castle, and Robert “Bob” Aucoin and wife Rhonda DeBenedetto Aucoin of Port Allen; and a sister, Tessie Robert and husband Alan Robert of Prairieville. Also survived by sisters-in-law Marsha S. Zaunbrecher and husband Gerard “Skinny” Zaunbrecher of Crowley, and Sylvia “Tootie” S. Atkins and husband Bobby Atkins of Baton Rouge. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, Ashley Aucoin Loupe and husband Chris, Megan Aucoin, Alana Robert Haynie and husband Ryan, Kyle and Austin Robert, Joshua Zaunbrecher and wife Sara, Seth Zaunbrecher and wife Laura, Kendra Z. Richard and husband Steven “Stevie,” Heidi Z. LeLeux and husband Jeremy, and Alana Atkins and wife Katelyn. She also leaves behind 3 great-nieces and 6 great-nephews including a granddaughter by love, Charlotte James Loupe. Preceded in death by her father, Lee Roy J. Aucoin Sr., and father-in-law, T.J. Sanchez. Pallbearers were Chris Loupe, Kyle and Austin Robert, Joshua and Seth Zaunbrecher and Ben Guillot. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Comfort Care Hospice and The Carpenter House. Beverly Ann Myers
Beverly Ann Myers, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, and a native of Port Allen, LA, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge, LA, at the age of 64. Visitation was from 9-11 on Saturday, August 4, 2018, and Religious services began 11:00 at Love Missionary Full Gospel Church, 1515 Rosedale Road, Port Allen, LA, Orchestrated by Austin Trusclair Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories, two brothers, Lionell Myers Houma, LA, Edward Myers Sr. New York City, NY; two aunts Carol and Connie Washington; three uncles Rev. Johnson Washington, Willie Washington, and Joseph Anderson; three sisters-in-law Patricia Myers, Rosemary Myers, Norma Myers; and a host of nieces and nephews and loving cousins and friends. Joseph Wilson LeFeaux
Joseph Wilson LeFeaux died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 94 on Friday, July 27, 2018, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. A proud WWII veteran and a retired engineer in the oil and gas industry, he spent the majority of his career working for the Plantation Pipeline Company, following his military service in the US Army 9th Air Force, 350th Bomb Group, 495th Squadron, in France and Germany. A loving father and grandfather, he was simply ‘Papa Joe’ to all who knew him. The youngest son in a family of seven children, he was born in Port Allen, LA, on May 26, 1924; two of his sisters, Catherine (DeDe) Walsh and Carolyn (Carrie) LeFeaux survive him. He is also survived by his children, Christine LeFeaux Landry and her husband Randy; Joseph Michael (Mike) LeFeaux and his wife Charlotte; and Mark Adrian LeFeaux and his husband Jimmy. He leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Lavergne LeFeaux,; and by two of his children, Annette LeFeaux Paxton and Charles William (Bill) LeFeaux. Per his request, his cremated remains will be interred alongside his wife at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and a memorial service will be performed by his nephew, Fr. Mary Lou Babin Traigle
Mary Lou a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Baton Rouge General at the age of 90. She was a resident of Addis and a native of Brusly, La. Visiting was at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm, celebrated by Father Matt Lorrain. Entombment followed at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Azuara and husband Hector, Toni Templet and husband Craig, and D’Anne Armstrong and husband Steve; sons, Todd Traigle and wife Dayna and Scott Traigle; grandchildren, Shantel, Kayla, Ashley, Brittany, Lauren, Hailey, Mickey, Zachary, Kristyn, Kaitlyn, Lunden and Deven; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Brennan, Alana, Alexis, Camille, Noelle, Sawyer, Willa and Tenley. Preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie Babin; sisters, Jeanette Daigle and Margaret Dupuy; and brothers, Wilfred and Walter Babin. Pallbearers will be Hector Azuara, Steve Armstrong, Craig Templet, Jarrod Troxclair, Mickey Armstrong and Zachary Armstrong. Honorary pallbearer will be Sibi Dupuy. Mary Lou loved to go fishing and camping, she enjoyed sewing and attending baseball and football games. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
