Food bank

During Anthem Volunteer Days Lions from District 8N teamed up together at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.

Lion members, Anthem Employees and other guest totaled approximately 65 people working to sort food for distribution as well as make backpacks for school children to take home for weekends and holidays.

Lions Clubs International Foundation and District 8N Lions clubs made a $1,000 donation to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank to help them provide a meal for over 3,000 people.

The food bank needs volunteers and donations year round, not just on holidays, to help sort food for distribution as well as gifts.

You can donate three ways: By making a monetary donation, where each dollar feeds up to three people, purchase non-perishable food items and place in the food barrel at your local supermarkets, or donate your time sorting food and packing backpacks.
