Local Middle school student to attend National Youth Leadership STEM program


Congratulations to Lyndsy C. Joseph on her acceptance to the 2017 National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF): Explore STEM. Joseph is a seventh grader at MSA West and a Port Allen resident.

She was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Elnora Kelly Gunter, to participate in this prestigious program. She will attend the NYLF: Explore STEM through July 29 at the University of Texas at Dallas. She will join other high-achieving students for this impressive exploration of science, technology, engineering and math.

Joseph has been a member of Duke TIP, 4-H Club, Robotics Club, Jr. Beta Club, talented theatre and gifted program. She has received numerous academic excellence awards, including the 2015 President’s Education Award Program for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

She is the daughter of Lance C. Joseph and Erica Joseph.
