More than a hundred gathered at Sandy's Daiquiris to benefit St. Jude's cancer patients by cooking and feasting on a range of game like ox, moose, buffalo, mountain lion and wild rooster.

The courses were judged based off of visual appeal, pleasing aroma, temperature and texture, originality of recipe, appropriate seasoning and the difficulty of the recipe.

The Wild Game Cookout is hosted by the Dream Day Foundation, a local non-profit organization focused on raising funds for patients of St. Jude through related events and fishing. The foundation hosts the Fishin’ Galore event in Clinton, Louisiana annually. Additional sponsors include Big Cajun 2, nrg Energy, H&E Equipment Services and Sandy's Daiquiris.
